Lord Shiva (the destroyer)  is also known as Nataraja (Lord of Dance). An integral part of a Bharatanatyam recital is an item that sings the glory of Lord Shiva while providing an opportunity for the dancer to demonstrate her dancing abilities.This is a song in praise of Lord Shiva - the cosmic dancer. The composer is Neelakanta Sivan.

As the lord dances his Ananda tANDavam in the hall  in chidambaram, there is no destruction/defeat for the devotees that worship at his feet.
